The Road Hole at St Andrews is as challenging as it is iconic. In the shadow of The Old Course Hotel and its grounds, players have tried for many years to judge their tee shots so that they aren’t penalised for cutting the corner too much.

The Open has seen the very best golfers such as, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods conquer the tricky start to the 17th hole of the Old Course.
