Michigan Wind Farm Transformer Delivery

A 225,000 lb transformer was tranloaded from a railcar to 12 lines of Goldhofer with a gooseneck and a Kenworth W990. We transported the unit 7 miles to the new substation set to service the wind farm being constructed around it. Once at the substation, we removed the truck and used the self-propelled capability of the trailer to drive it into place and then unloaded it to the foundation with the Buckingham Hydraulic Slide System.
