ElAraby Rhythm or Iqaa is common time Rhythm in Saudi Arabia and gulf area in general .
ElAraby Rhythm has two strong quarter beats separated by weak beat of eight note and 3 other weak beats , the strong beats called dom and can be replaced by base notes on oud , and weak beats called tik.
Talal Maddah song ,Iddyny Ahd El Hawa , is written on Maqam fa Rast and ElAraby rhythm .
another example of ElAraby Rhythm is Marattney El Donya on Do rast Maqam , for Mohammed Abdo.
ElAraby Rhythm on Oud is similar to Al Wahda Rhythm but with only one strong beats of dotted quarter note at the beginning of each music measure.
