Israel calls on UN chief to resign over Gaza comments • FRANCE 24 English

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations called on the UN’s secretary General Antonio Guterres to resign in response to comments he made Tuesday in which he alleged violations of international law in Gaza. Guterres also said that the Palestinians had been "subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation," telling the UN’s Security Council: "It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum."
