**Thanks to Allen Porter (the dev of the Official Nest integration) for pointing out I completely missed a step when I set up the official integration. I guess I never shifted my oauth consent screen is set to production. That is why it failed so much. Thanks Allen for setting me straight!!**

So I think I have found the best Nest and Home Assistant integration through Homebridge. This integration is a lot more stable than using a Nest developer account, plus it is a lot easier.
