Singing Frozen Lake

The ice was singing all around me while out ice fishing on Lake Clear in Ontario, Canada.
Frozen lakes make the most noise during major temperature changes. When the temperature changes the ice expands and contracts which causes cracks to form in the ice. The cracking of the ice surface is what makes the noises.
The ice was around 8 or 9 inches thick, which is plenty safe to be on.
