Shinigami - The Spirit of the Dead - Japanese Folklore

The Shinigami are death spirits in Japanese mythology. They are responsible for determining the time of human death. Often portrayed as sinister figures or as mediators between life and death, they are the face of the inevitable fate of all living beings.
