This is your USD news Minute

The Native-Indigenous Graduate Reception took place on friday to celebrate Graduates from the Summer and Fall of 2022 as well as the Spring 2023….honoring Our Collective Stories to Light the Path Forward…The event, organized by the Office of the Tribal Liaison…consisted of a community conversations panel, social hour and a storytelling booth followed by recognition of our graduates…congratulations to all who participated. 

USD was the Presenting Sponsor of the 38th Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade this past Saturday. Dean Kimberly White-Smith from SOLES spoke at the Opening Ceremony. The Mulvaney Center along with other campus partners such as the USD legal Clinics, the Hahn School of Nursing and our student athletes were there connecting with the community. 

Tomorrow May 2, USD will celebrate the highest achieving undergraduate students for their academic and departmental accomplishments this year. The entire USD community is invited to  the event which will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Shiley Theatre -- with a reception to follow.

The Toreros are your 2023 D-1 sevens National Collegiate Rugby champions! USD prevailed against a very strong Clemson team in difficult weather conditions for back to back national titles. Congratulations to our USD Rugby team!
