WKSA ON AIR | Culture Show 2018: Ivanna Yi (Yukchabaegi, Kanant'aryŏng from The Tale of Hŭngbo)

Ivanna Yi is a Ph.D. Candidate in Korean Literature at Harvard University. She received an M.A. in Regional Studies--East Asia from Harvard and an B.A. in English with a writing concentration in poetry from Yale University. As a scholar of Korean literature, she focuses on the intersections between oral performance, written literature, and the environment. Her current projects also include comparing contemporary Korean and Native American oral storytelling and literature as they relate to global environmental concerns through musical and literary performance. She serves as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies for the East Asian Studies Program at Harvard University and has taught at Harvard, Boston University, and Wellesley College.
