Boyden Gray | Last Interview

An admired lawyer and ambassador, C Boyden Gray gave me this interview shortly before his passing Saturday the 20th of May 2023.

He told me a bit of his background, about his father, his work as one of the longest servicing white house staff members, his experiences with how government can be used as a tool to control markets and keep competition at bay.

Finally he discusses his recent case against the FDA, his health issues and reflections on life.

Clayland Boyden Gray (born February 6, 1943) is an American lawyer and former diplomat who served as White House Counsel from 1989 to 1993 and as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union from 2006 to 2007. He is a founding partner of the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Boyden Gray & Associates LLP.
