Major public relief measures have been proposed in the Budget 2026-27, including significant allocations for farmers, healthcare, electricity relief, and social welfare programs. According to budget projections, 119 billion rupees are expected to be allocated for various social protection initiatives, while 47.3 billion rupees may be reserved to provide relief in electricity bills. The proposed “Kisan VAT Relief” program for farmers is likely to receive 14 billion rupees, alongside additional funds for development programs. The budget also includes allocations for children’s health surgery, dialysis and transplant programs, the Dhee Rani scheme, and the Minority Card program aimed at supporting minority communities across the country.
