First Ever WIN on WTA Tour for EMMA RADUCANU | Transylvania Open Cluj-Napoca (2021)

She is such a beautiful, charismatic young woman who is also a great tennis player. This time she overcame all levels of cuteness, speaking in Romanian, in the interview after the match.

Emma Răducanu won, at Transylvania Open, the first victory after her great success in US Open, this year. The Briton defeated Polona Hercog, in the first round of the tournament in Cluj and will play in the second round with Ana Bogdan.

Emma is 18 years old, ranks 23rd in the WTA and is the third favourite of the tournament in Cluj-Napoca.

In the interview after the victory in the match with Polona Hercog, Emma Răducanu said she was happy to have the opportunity to play for the first time in her father's country.

"Thank you very much, the tournament is very well organized. I like Romania very much and I feel at home here. It means a lot to me to be able to play in my father's country, I have very pleasant memories here.

Thank you all for the support offered today. I am a little sad because there are no spectators, but when I got here and did the first training sessions I had a very warm welcoming from the public ", said Emma Răducanu.

Emma posted on Instagram a selfie and this suggestive message: “I am extremely happy because I managed my first victory in the WTA circuit today. Thank you very much Romania, I love you! ”.

At the end of the match with Polona Hercog, the tennis player Alexandra Dulgheru was the one who interviewed the winner of the match. Although the first question was asked in English, Emma Răducanu wanted to speak in Romanian, at which point she drew a well-deserved round of applause from those present.

"I want to try a little in Romanian and, if I can't, I switch to English. Today was a very difficult match. She was very strong, I don't think I played so well, but I won and I'm so happy now! I want to thank you very much, it is a very well organized tournament. I really like Romania, I think I am at home here ", said Răducanu.

"Thank you and I want to say that now I'm a little ashamed to speak Romanian, but if I stay here a little long, I can be better," said Emma Raducanu, and Alexandra Dulgheru replied: "You have conquered an entire country, keep calm!"
