Tech Talk: How to configure BLF Key on A Yealink IP Phone

Busy Lamp Field (BLF) is a light on an IP Phone that tells you whether another extension or trunk connected to the same PBX is busy or not. It’s a useful feature for receptionist - he/she can configure BLFs on his/her phone for monitoring the status of other co-workers’ phone use (busy or idle). So the receptionist can quickly identify who is available and who is currently on a call by glancing at his/her phone display.

How to configure BLF key on a PBX system? Let me take a Yealink T46S IP phone and Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX as examples to show you the steps. (For detailed steps, please watch the video.)

Note: BLF requires the support of both the IP phone and IPPBX. And the IP phones should be connected to the same PBX.
