Indian Navy conducted anti-ship firings in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating the Indian warships' readiness for long-range precision offensive strikes. The Indian Navy said that it "stands combat ready" and "future ready in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests anytime, anywhere, anyhow." According to reports, the warships fired BrahMos anti-ship and anti-surface cruise missiles. Kolkata-class destroyers, Nilgiri and Krivak-class frigates, were reportedly deployed for the firings, which came amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan over the Pahalgam terror attack.
