Aviation Special - Kemble Storage & Scrapyard

On a cold and wet Wednesday, I paid a visit to Cotswold Airport outside Cirencester, Gloucestershire to visit some retired BA 747 jets! There were of course a few other jets to see, but the visit was mainly to see the BA 747 fleet.

Cotswold Airport is on the site of the former RAF Kemble, a few miles outside Cirencester in Gloucestershire and is the home of Air Salvage International, one of Europes leading aircraft decommissioning companies.
The airfield is also used to store aircraft, of which it has a number.

In the following video, we take a look at the history of some of the jets, as well as take a look at the British Airways jumbo Jet aircraft on site.
