Окиян-море

This is a spiritual (folk) song of Nekrasov Cossacks perfromed by the parisheners of the Old Rite Church of the Holy Trinity.

A rock lies amidst the ocea,
A church stands on that rock.
In that church there's an altar.
A book lies on that altar...
The book of the New Testament.
Two angels are reading it...
Two angels and three archangels.
Mother Mary stands infront of them.
She cries and morns in sorrow
But they beg her:
Don't cry, don't cry, Mother Mary.
Oh how can I not?
The Jews took my son,
Took Him and crucified Him.
They put a crown of thorns on His head.
They gave him wine and vinegard to drink.
Don't cry, don't cry Mother Mary.
Don't cry, don't cry, o most venerated one.
Your Son will rise from the dead on the third day,
He will rise up to the sky with glory
And they will sing the Cherubic Hymn
With the prayer:
Alelluia, glory to Thee, o God.
Alelluia, glory to Thee, o God.
Glory to Thee, o God, glory to Thee!

В окиян-море камень ляжит,
На камене церква стоит.
А у той церкви престол стоит.
На престоле книга ляжит.
Книга ляжит Евангелия.
Читают ее два ангелия.
Два ангелия, три архангелия.
Перед ними стоит Матерь Мария.
Не так плачет горько рыдает.
Они ее умоляют.

Ах, как же мне не плакати.
Мого Сына жиды взяли,
Жиды взяли, да распяли,
Терновый венец на голову клали.
С вином желчью причащали.

На третий день Сын Твой воскреснет,
На небо подымется с похвалою.

The video shows Solovetsky monastery and what happened when the monks refused to accept the novelties of Patriarch Nikon. The song itself is obviously not about that but I think the video and the song relate to each other, since Christ gave an example for all the martyrs to come.
