Galina Ulanova and Konstantin Sergeyev - Pas de Deux from Act 2, ’Swan Lake’ (1940)

I used to have this perhaps earliest footage Galina Ulanova and Konstantin Sergeyev performing the famous pas de deux from Act Two of ‘Swan Lake’ on my old YouTube channel.

The footage was shot at the Kirov Theatre just a few years before the ballerina's fame reached Joseph Stalin and she was transferred to the Bolshoi Theatre in 1944.

There were a number of uploads of this arguably greatest of Soviet ballerinas on this long ago and far away site which I think I’d better put here.

I’ll first be uploading all the performances I have of Ulanova in the second act of ‘Swan Lake’ as I think it will be interesting to compare her approach to the role of Odette over the years.
