With my Sister's wedding coming up, there are a couple projects on the barn I want to push hard on and get done in time before the big day. The first thing I want to do is fabricate some hanging lanterns for the loft area of my barn. After settling on a design I was happy with, I get to work cutting out a prototype on my CNC plasma table. I clean up the edges with a flap disc on the angle grinder and, using a jig to hold everything square, weld the pieces together. Once this first lantern is done and I'm confident it'll work, I cut out the parts for 20 additional lanterns and start a mass production line. Once all the lanterns are rusted and have a coating of matte clear enamel on them, it's time to put on my electricians hat and run the electrical through the peak of my barn where the lights will hang from. Lastly, installing the lights one by one is the best part and seeing how they all look for the first time in the loft of my barn.
