RIP Google Pay

We gather here today to prepare to lay the Google Pay, app, also known as GPay, to rest 🪦

Born September 19, 2011, GPay helped many Android users purchase items using their phones and/or smartwatches. On June 4, 2024, it and Google's peer-to-peer payment system will fly to the tech afterlife, to be succeeded by Google Wallet.

It's a loss many will feel, but the GPay app will not be forgotten.
