Persian Gulf - Around the World in Eight Days

This is the first segment that was aired on AFRTS
channel 8 on Diego Garcia BIOT - January 10, 1988
at 8:30 am.

To date this is the only known recording of over-the-air
AFRTS network broadcast from this small island in the northern Indian Ocean.

Wanted to get this posted on YouTube to share with
everyone before the VHS tape degrades further after
25 years in storage.

Channel 8 - ERP 250 watts.
Channel 10 - ERP 100 watts.
