XL Specialized’s Extendable trailers feature a patented extend-a-trac technology as well as greaseable rollers making them user friendly and rugged. Follow the upcoming directions to extend and retract an XL Extendable deck: First, set the emergency brake on the trailer. Remove the safety pins from the lock chambers. Pull the air release valve to release the lock pins. Drive the tractor forward to pull the deck to the desired extended length or drive the tractor backward to retract. An extended deck aligns the lock pin with the appropriate hole to reach your desired length. Push the valve to engage lock pins. Slight adjustments of the deck may be required for full pin engagement. Drive the tractor up or back until a pin can be inserted. Replace safety pins after the lock pins are fully seated. Make sure to continue to grease your rollers on a regular basis to keep them moving smoothly.
