Make a cord necklace with a pendant - jewelry making tutorial

The cord you use for this project needs to be cut about 3cm shorter (about 1½ inches) than you want your finished necklace length to be. This is because the clasp and rings will add to the length.
So if you want your necklace to be 42 cms long, then cut the cord at 39 cm. If you want a 45cm necklace length then cut it at 42 cm. And so on!

And for you 'inch' people :-)
For a 16" necklace, you will need a 14½" cord.
For a 18" necklace, you'll need a 16½" cord.
