MMC issues 262 notices for encroachment along roads and public spaces

In a major drive against encroachments, the Mormugao Municipal Council has issued 264 notices across its jurisdiction. Acting on directives from the Bombay High Court on the suo moto cognizance, the Council initiated inspections and found multiple unauthorized structures abutting roads and public spaces. Recipients have been asked to submit legal documents like survey plans and occupancy certificates within seven days, says Chairperson Girish Borkar.
