#FirstpostNews: The mother of a Venezuelan prisoner chained herself to the walls of her son's jail in Caracas on Monday (January 26), holding a photo of her boy and pleading through tears for his release.

The protest came as Venezuela continues a process of releasing detainees. At least 104 people considered political prisoners by the rights group Foro Penal were released on Sunday (January 25), its director Alfredo Romero said on X.
