Modeling and Simulation of DC DC Boost Converter

Implementation Plan:

Scenario 1: Boost Converter Operation with 9 V Input
----------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Initially, we will construct the DC–DC boost converter circuit with DC source, inductor and load in Simulink.

Step 2: Then, we apply a 9 VDC input source and integrate PWM control for MOSFET operation.

Step 3: Next, we simulate the model and collect converter simulated data.

Step 4: Next, we analyze the output voltage regulation, inductor current ripple and capacitor voltage ripple based on collected data.

Step 5: Finally, we plot performance metrics for the following:

5.1: Time vs Voltage (V)

5.2: Time vs Current (A)

5.3: Time vs Power (W)

5.4: Time vs Current Ripple (%)

5.5: Time vs Voltage Ripple (%)
Scenario 2: Boost Converter Operation with 15 V Input
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Initially, we will construct the DC–DC boost converter circuit with DC source, inductor and load in Simulink.

Step 2: Then, we apply a 15 VDC input source and integrate PWM control for MOSFET operation.

Step 3: Next, we simulate the model and collect converter simulated data.

Software Requirements:

1. Development Tool: MATLAB R2024a/Simulink or above

2. Operating System: Windows-10 (64-bit) or above
