Piecing is Period - Sewing a Historical Bodice out of Scraps

Using all my scraps of linen fabric (cabbage!) to sew a new bodice based on 16th century supportive bodice styles.

Somehow I got sidetracked by the construction process and I never really talked about WHY I chose to make this bodice using only scraps, but the answer is really very simple: to use up (some of the) "useful" scraps that I've been hoarding for years, and because it's more environmentally friendly as well as accurate throughout history.

I'll likely go into more detail about this in the future, but it's been a few years since I stopped buying "fast fashion" and I now try to sew clothes I need myself, alongside my more costume-y projects. The process of transitioning my wardrobe to include more pieces inspired by history and by costumes I love was a big part of why I started this channel when I did.
