US Secretary of Agriculture visits egg facility as Ohio recovers from bird flu

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WSYX) — As Ohio recovers from the avian flu, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, spoke to local egg farmers at Weaver Eggs in Darke County.

"Just the devastation and the heartbreak, and frankly, the darkness that descends when you have to depopulate millions of your flock," Secretary Rollins said.

Rollins and Gov. Mike DeWine were given a tour of the facility to discuss what's next for our local farmers.
