The Way We Were / Yesterday - Bing Crosby & Liza Minnelli 1976

From the Bell Telephone Jubilee TV special 3/26/76, with Marvin Hamlisch at the piano. This special was produced by Dwight Hemion and Gary Smith, who, in 1977, produced Bing's final Christmas special with David Bowie. In fact, their legendary duet of The Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth has its origins traced to this performance, which pairs the main song "The Way We Were" with Lennon-McCartney's "Yesterday" as the counterpoint. This performance is even staged in similar fashion, with Bing & Liza standing around the piano.
