Hi, this is Matt and I want to show you how I use the AAWP plugin on some of my WordPress sites.

Now let me walk you through how I actually use it. This is a filmmaking site, so I feature articles on films, directors, and gear. For example, I’ve created a custom product box for Andrei Rublev. This pulls official data from Amazon using the API — so it’s fully compliant with their rules.

When someone clicks the box, they’re sent to Amazon through my affiliate link. If they buy anything within 24 hours, I get a commission. That’s all handled automatically through AAWP.

Here’s another page — one about lavalier mics. Again, everything here is pulled from Amazon in real-time via the API. If a product goes on sale, the sale price updates without me having to lift a finger. No need to manually edit or update anything — it’s all synced.

In the WordPress backend, I just use shortcodes to add product boxes. For the Andrei Tarkovsky example, I use a simple shortcode block with the product’s unique code. AAWP takes that and displays all the relevant info on the front end, including images, prices, and Prime info.

Next, I use it to build comparison tables and best-of charts. Here’s an example of a bestseller list for GoPros. Each row is clickable and goes to the corresponding Amazon page. I've chosen which products to include, and the layout includes styling to make the images pop.

These tables are built with the AAWP plugin too — and you can customize them heavily. Even the little visual extras like drop shadows or badge highlights can be configured through the plugin.

On the AAWP site, you’ll find lots of layout options: product boxes, bestseller lists, simple text links, and more. All of them are affiliate-ready and tag your Amazon ID automatically.

What’s important to remember is that you earn commissions even if people don’t buy the exact product you linked to. Once they click your link, the 24-hour cookie window begins.
