गुजरात के भरूच में 700 साल पुराने जामा मस्जिद को लेकर विवाद छिड़ गया है, हिंदू पक्ष और जैन धर्म से जुड़े इसे इसे प्राचीन मंदिर बता रहे हैं, पूरा विवाद हाल में मस्जिद के तहखाने का एक वीडियो सामने आने के बाद आया है जिसमें हिंदू देवी-देवताओं और जैन तीर्थंकरों की प्राचीन मूर्तियां और नक्काशीदार पत्थर दिखाई देने का दावा किया गया है, हिंदू और जैन समुदायों का दावा है कि यह स्थल मूल रूप से 'समी विहार' या प्राचीन मंदिर था, जिसे तोड़कर मुग़ल काल में जामा मस्जिद का निर्माण किया गया.. वे पूरे परिसर का वैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण कराने की मांग कर रहे हैं, वहीं जामा मस्जिद ट्रस्ट और मुस्लिम समुदाय ने इन दावों को खारिज किया है..मुस्लिम पक्ष का कहना है कि उनके पास इसके मस्जिद होने के ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक प्रमाण मौजूद हैं, भरूच का जामा मस्जिद अभी ASI के संरक्षण में है.. विवाद के बाद यहां सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है...
A dispute has erupted over the 700-year-old Jama Masjid in Bharuch, Gujarat, with Hindu and Jain groups claiming the site was originally an ancient temple. The controversy arose following the recent surfacing of a video showing the mosque's basement, which allegedly reveals ancient idols of Hindu deities and Jain Tirthankaras, as well as carved stones. Hindu and Jain communities assert that the site was originally 'Sami Vihar'—an ancient temple—which was demolished to construct the Jama Masjid during the Mughal era; they are demanding a scientific survey of the entire complex. Meanwhile, the Jama Masjid Trust and the Muslim community have dismissed these claims, maintaining that they possess historical and religious evidence confirming its status as a mosque. The Bharuch Jama Masjid is currently under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and security at the site has been stepped up following the dispute.
