How to Change a Toilet's Water Supply Line | Roto-Rooter

Changing your toilet's water supply tube doesn't have to be difficult. All you need is a bucket, a sponge, an adjustable wrench (or pair of Channellock pliers) and this video.

Here are the steps: First, turn off the water supply behind the toilet. Next, flush the toilet until the water tank is as empty as possible. Then, remove the remaining water with a sponge, cup or towel. Loosen and remove the nuts on the old water supply tube, removing it completely. Replace the tube with a new braided stainless steel line and tighten it securely on both ends. Finally, turn the water on and inspect for leaks.
