Our commitment to the world’s wildlife and the ecosystems that sustain us spans the globe and includes some of the most important biodiversity hotspots on our planet. The Amazonia Hub is home to innovative and transformative work, leading to new discoveries about the wildlife living in the region and promoting human-wildlife coexistence.

The Amazonia rainforest is home to ten percent of all the species identified on the planet! Together with our partners in the region, including local communities, we’re co-creating solutions that promote the conservation of some of Amazonia’s majestic species. From our work with local communities in Peru and Bolivia to promote coexistence with jaguars, our investigation of the resources and environment that Andean bears rely on to thrive, our monitoring of giant otter populations, and the possibilities we are still to discover using the tools at the Wildlife Conservation Laboratory at the Los Amigos Biological Station, our organization’s commitment to the Amazonia Hub can have a transformative impact on conservation.
