Watch Rocket Lab launch their awesome Electron Rocket for NASA / NRO / RAAF
Rocket Lab’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” mission, launching from their Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand, will fly five payloads into orbit atop its Electron rocket. The payload is a combination of National Reconnaissance Office, NASA and Royal Australian Air Force smallsats.
This mission bears the name of a hit from the iconic rock band Queen. The colourful name commemorates former Rocket Lab board member, Stanford Scott Smith – who recently passed away. Smith, whose initials can be found on the mission patch, was an avid fan of the band.
