━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We tore down an LM-seven, LQ-four, and L-eighty-six at two hundred thousand miles each — and one had four collapsed lifters, another still showed factory hone marks on the cylinder walls. Real teardown data, real compression numbers, real oil analysis. The winner edged out second place by a hair. The loser proved that aluminum block plus direct injection plus AFM equals architectural disaster — and a fifteen-thousand-dollar repair bill waiting at one hundred eighty thousand miles.
