What does it mean to burn a bridge?

It means you commit yourself to a particular course of action with no possibility of turning back. For the most part, the advice "Never burn bridges!" is good advice, but there are exceptions to every rule. Sometimes for your own sake, you need to take a stand. Here are four bridges worth burning.
