Rahul Gandhi Accuses Govt of Silencing Him in Lok Sabha | Sets 3 Conditions on NEET Row

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday accused the government of denying him an opportunity to speak in Parliament, alleging that his microphone was switched off when he attempted to respond.

The remarks came after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju stated that the Opposition should allow a discussion in the House. Responding to this, Rahul Gandhi said that as per parliamentary protocol, a member should be allowed to speak when their name is mentioned.

Rahul Gandhi further outlined the Opposition’s position on the ongoing NEET controversy, stating that it is based on three key demands raised by students across the country:

The resignation of the Education Minister
Accountability and action against those accused of attacking protesting students
An apology from the Prime Minister to the students
