The New GWR Sleeper Train

The Night Rivera - GWR's sleeper service - runs from London Paddington down to Penzance, and vice versa. Recently, the cabins and lounge car have all been upgraded, and we were invited by GWR to go on a trip to have a look at the refurbished carriages.

The sleeper train has four sleeping car berths, two seated cars and the lounge car. It runs six nights a week (not Saturdays) and there is now also a large-accessible berth as well, perfect for wheelchair users.

The First Class lounge as Paddington also has showers and can be used by anyone with a First Class ticket, the lounges at Penzance and Truro are currently for sleeper passengers only.
