Next to the town of Puno floating on islands on the worlds highest boat traversal lake live the famous Uros people. Traditions passed down the centuries are alive today. Toilets and basic solar power may be the only thing that have changed. Not all the people are involved in tourism and some communities drift alone in the middle of nowhere. Divorces or disputes mean a saw is taken out and the island is cut away from the people they no longer want to live next to. Its a fascinating place and the Uros are such lovely people. Well worth visiting in Peru
