"It's Tight Like That" McKinney's Cotton Pickers 1928
I like the vocal on this one with the humorous answers by Cuba Austin. I knew a collector in the 1960's who had early radio transcriptions and had a radio transcription of McKinney's Cotton Pickers broadcast from Frank Sebastian's Cotton Club in Culver City, California from 1931. He would only trade reel to reel tapes of his transcriptions for rare jazz records he wanted. I really wanted a tape of any McKinney's Cotton Pickers radio broadcast but he wanted the Gennett of King Oliver Creole Jazz Band Krooked Blues in return and I didn't have that one. He also had radio transcriptions of Louis Armstrong with Les Hite's Band from 1930 or 1931 from Sebastian's too but again wanted a record in return for a tape that I didn't have, the King Oliver Jelly Roll Morton King Porter Stomp Autograph 78.
