How to Applique on an Embroidery Machine

Learn how to machine embroider applique. This simple and easy to understand tutorial shows everything you need to know to get started!

Many designs for embroidery machines are actually machine applique embroidery. These designs are made to applique pieces of fabric similar to applique in quilting. Stitching these designs is different from stitching a regular embroidery design. The designs have multiple steps consisting of a placement stitch, cutting stitch and then satin stitches.

This tutorial will demonstrate how to stitch these designs and add your own fabrics to personalize them.

The machine in this video is a Brother Innovis 4000d but this procedure will work with any embroidery machine.
