Onboard one of Ryanairs newest aircraft! EI-IGY on the date of recording just 16 days since its delivery from Boeing in Seattle. So only a handful of flights under its belt. The inbound flight from Birmingham had arrived in Las Palmas some 40 minutes ahead of schedule meaning a good turn around. We were all onboard and even pushing back 11 minutes ahead of our booked departure time. Very good going, especially for Ryanair. This was actually needed, as we'd got a strong headwind most of the way back to the UK resulting in a 4 hour 10 minute flight time. So despite the early departure, just about scraped an ontime arrival into BHX. A very busy flight, just about every seat taken as far as I could see apart from the one next to me. 6E. So lucky me for me I had a little extra room.
Nice views on departure from RWY03R at LPA. Just about visible are both Lanzarote & Fuerteventura islands as we climb. Later on we pass over Portugal. A few air to air shots of other traffic. The French coastline near the Bay of Biscay, before descending into a lovely day in Birmingham.
