Because no other character will ever replace Elena Gilbert in my heart.
You may think it's a little early to say goodbye to this amazing character, but the truth, is that I already said my goodbyes. No ending will ever be good enough. I know that I'll be disappointed with the season finale, mostly, because it should be a SHOW finale.
And I saw so many of you so sad (I know how you all feel #hugsforallofyou) that I decided to upload this video earlier. I was going to publish it only next weekend but I have a delena video planned to publish on friday (a long one, 5 minutes, more or less) and I wanted to remind you of all the good stuff that this ray of sunshine gave to us. I won't make sad videos about Elena, and probably, not about delena too. The one I have planned, is supposed to show all the loveable moments that my biggest otp ever gave to me. And I tried to do the same with this one.
Elena Gilbert was the reason I started to watch this show. She taught me so much and she was the only character of the show that I truly loved since day one until now. I had my moments, when I wanted her to have different reactions or whatever, but she was always my "warrior princess". And that's why the show will be over for me in less than a week. I love Damon with all my heart, but it just doesn't make sense anymore. Elena Gilbert will be always the heart of the show. And when she leaves, I leave.
I'll just pretend that the show finished after that amazing delena scene, that they had sex in the barn, jolaric is married and happy and damon drank the cure from her. Now they'll be happy, human, with babies, a lot of sex and they'll die from old age, together.

Last but not least, I want to say a huge thank you to Nina Dobrev: Thanks princess, for these amazing six years and for being the perfect Elena.
(I wish for Nina to watch this video someday. A girl can dream right? :'))
