I can't guarantee that this will work with every laptop. I only used this method with a Lenovo x220.

In this video, we remove the BIOS lock of a Lenovo x220 laptop by removing the CMOS battery for 15 minutes.
We also fix the non-working touchpad on the Lenovo x200 Thinkpad laptop
