Pasture Rotation works! look at this green grass where chickens and cattle have grazed in January.

We live in East Texas where most of the grass has gone dormant. We have one section that we have rotated chickens and the cows this year that hasn't gone dormant. This has opened my eyes to the fact that I need to rotate both of them on pasture to extend the growing season and introduce hay even later into the winter season to save more money!
