SOG Power Plier Multi-Tool review: First Generation SOG MT
My first multi-tool review and where better to start than this old friend. I purchased this in Australia in 1996 and carried it most days for more than ten years. According to the SOG website Spencer Frazer, the founder of SOG Knives, invented the Compound Leverage multi-tool in 1995. I therefore believe this to be an example of the first SOG product of this type.
Of course, this model is no longer made and SOG designs have moved on. However, the compound leverage system continues to be a feature on current SOG multi-tools. This tool has served me well, and is still a solid performer. It may not have all the features of it's modern cousins, but it is a working piece of SOG multi-tool history.
I hope you enjoy this blast from the past.
