How to Connect TV to Receiver ( With and Without HDMI and RCA ) Onkyo Receiver Install

Welcome to my channel! Today we are looking a various way to connect your receiver to your tv. If you have any questions at all about anything you see in my video feel free to ask me in the comments section.

There are essentially 2 types of recievers ones with HDMI and ones without HDMI hook ups. Today we are going over both of these types of receivers. Were also going over devices with RCA hookups and how to hook them to your stereo and tv.

For the ones with HDMI you literally going to hook your device (Roku , PS4 , Cable box, etc) directly into your Receiver. You will then run another HDMI cable from your receiver to TV.

For Units without HDMI you will need something called and HDMI Audio extractor this will allow you to get the audio signal from the HDMI signal and send it to your OLDER model reciever.

There are offered for $20-$70 on amazon.

I only have experience with these 2 models and I am not sure about other ones.

Know what you need before you buy. Some Tv's have a usb and some do not. You may want an AC adapter with yours because of your setup.
