Opening an Abandoned Mine Part II: Exploring the Inside
On this episode, we give you a look down inside the abandoned Ishkooda 13 mine after we finished opening it back up. When the mine was in operation, it extended down into the valley 2.5 miles (4 km) Every 50-100 feet, you would have a work header that would branch off to the left and right, this is where they would extract the ore, and load it into the skip cars on the main haulage way. There is so much to this mine to cover, that it will take many videos to show you all, but what you see in this video is some of the original 1870s work headers, along with the main haulage way, which to me is so beautiful. I want to say thank you all for the support and to the new followers we have. We hope you really enjoy this, and feel free to take a look at some of our other mining videos.
