Want OUT OF FOCUS backgrounds in your paintings? TRY an AIRBRUSH!

If I want a blurry/ out of focus look in my painting, an airbrush is the best tool for the job. This is because an airbrush naturally blends the paint for you, giving the painting a soft smokey look. Within this painting tutorial I'll show you how I use an airbrush with acrylic paints to paint in a forest background with trees and light coming through the branches. The goal of this painted background is to mimic the optics of a camera lens with an open aperture. Thanks for watching.
