Roxas, Isabela - Installing a Shimge Submersible

2020.07.20 - The months of May, June and until middle of July were particularly dry to the point where; the rice paddies were drying out and the risked of Rice plants dying. The underground water table dropped by several metres thus the pumpers were no longer able to pump water out to flood the rice paddies. Submersible pump are expensive where combination of Franklin motor and Gould pumps are costing over P62K to buy. Not wanting to pay for such that I looked and found Shimge submersible as an alternative to Franklin/Gould submersible. Shimge submersible with control box plus cables and fuse costs around P32K where one could buy 2 for the price of Franklin/Gould sets.

The bore well is 35 metres deep, 4" casing is 24 metres and water table was measured at depth of 6 metres. Shimge was immersed to a depth of 9 metres where; any lower then it would stop the water outflow

Shimge specs: 2.2 KW, 3 HP, 180L/m at 45 metres
