Which masks material can be charged with static. Can used N95 masks be recharged?

Simple static electricity experiment using Non-woven polypropylene, paper towel, and used N95 mask.

Peter Tsai, the Co-inventor of N95 masks came out of retirement to help with the reuse of N95 masks. Currently the only approved method of disinfecting the N95 mask is with a special Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide method which maintains the electrostatic characteristics of the N95 mask.

In this video, we will perform a simple static electricity test using some DIY mask material as well as a used N95 mask. The goal is to see what materials can be charged electrostatically as well as seeing if a N95 mask which has lost its charge can be recharges.

Many of my subscribers are engineers or problems solvers who like to test different materials and designs to see if they can make our DIY masks better.

Just some food for thought.
